Arrow Work and Safety Gear stock a range of rubber wheel stops to assist in protecting pedestrians and vehicles from damage. We have ensured that our stock of wheel stops meet the Australian standards. Wheel stops create a barrier between physical objects such as a vehicle and wall. In this way, they protect pedestrians and passengers from harm when moving into parking spaces.

Product Features

Our rubber wheel stops are made from high-quality and durable rubber, so you do not have to worry about them warping, cracking, chipping or rotting. You may be wondering how exactly will our wheel stops last for years after all the damage and collisions they prevent. We’ve ensured that our products are UV resistant, moisture resistant, oil resistant and weather resistant. Therefore, you know that our wheel stops will protect your property and pedestrians for years to come.

We have ensured that our wheel stops can be effectively used at all hours of the day, by including a yellow reflector on the front and back. As a result, this enhances the visibility of the barrier and ensures that drivers and pedestrians are able to view the wheel stop, at all times.

Where Can They Be Used

Wheel stops are one of the most common forms of protection, for both pedestrians and vehicles. This is because they can be installed in almost any area. They are commonly utilised in environments including; retail carparks, airports, schools, medical centres, commercial sites and industrial sites. At Arrow Traders, we aim to meet all these demands. Therefore, our team of highly trained professionals can be called on to install wheel stops for your company in almost any setting.

Aside from commercial business areas, we can also install wheel stops to protect private properties. This form of protective barrier can help reduce damage to walls, buildings and vehicles, upon impact. With a highly visible yellow reflector stripe, our line of wheel stops can be installed in areas that require protection twenty-four hours a day. For example, environments such as pedestrian pavements and cycle lanes see a frequent number of pedestrians, regardless of the time of day. Our high visibility yellow reflector can guarantee that members of the public are equally protected at night, as they are during the day from oncoming traffic and potential collisions.

Installation

Wheel stops are very easy and simple to install in most premises. However, our team can be called in to install any product including wheel stops, to save you the added labour. Therefore, you can be guaranteed that the installation will be to a high standard. Our installation process will differ based on the surface’s material. This is to ensure the wheel stop is correctly installed to withstand various conditions. Before installation, our team of professionals will perform an EHI scan if necessary. Therefore, we can identify physical obstructions such as electrical wiring and pipes. Based on these findings, we can provide recommendations of placement of the stops. Regardless of whether the floor area is asphalt or concrete, we first place the wheel stop where it is required. As a result, our team can ensure measurements and placement is accurate.

Asphalt Surface

If the surface area is asphalt, our professionals will use a hammer drill to drill guide holes for the wheel stop. Once the guide holes have been created, the wheel stop will then be placed in the original position. Therefore, we will be able to ensure that the holes of the wheel stop are aligned. When the holes’ placement is correct, our team will hammer road spikes through the holes and into the surface. Therefore securing the wheel stop in the correct position.

Concrete Surface

If the surface that the wheel stop is being installed on is concrete however, the installation process will differ slightly. The wheel stop will first be positioned in the correct place. 10mm pilot holes will then be drilled through the wheel stop’s holes. Once the pilot holes are sufficient, the wheel stop is removed from the area, so that our team can continue drilling through the holes. Once the holes are a sufficient depth, the wheel stop will be placed back into the original position. Unlike with asphalt, Dynabolts are used to secure the wheel stop into the concrete surface. Our team will ensure that the bolts are sitting in the correct position within the sunken area, before ensuring the project is completed.

At Arrow Traders we aim to improve the safety and protection for all businesses. With our range of durable high-quality rubber wheel stops, you can be reassured that your premise and customers will be protected for many years.
